Bangkok: “Pipat” confirms that Bhumjaithai will not reject the draft of the 2016 budget bill. Pipat insists that Bhumjaithai will not reject the draft of the 69 budget bill, insists on casting votes for the whole party because it is polite, ignores “Thaksin’s” words to reclaim the Interior Ministry, insists that it has no effect.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labor and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, confirmed that the Bhumjaithai Party will definitely vote to approve the draft of the 2026 Budget Expenditure Act. He emphasized that, as a coalition party, it is their duty to support the government’s budget. Pipat reassured that the party would vote as a whole, citing etiquette as a reason for their support.
In response to former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s demand for the Interior Ministry, Pipat asserted that it would have no impact on the party’s stance. He reiterated that being part of the coalition government means they have been involved in drafting and benefiting from the budget. Therefore, out of courtesy, they must vote in favor of the government party. Pipat refrained from discussing other political matters, stating that it is up to senior members to deliberate on those issues.
When questioned about the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle, Pipat mentioned that there had been no such indications. He also noted that he had not met with Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, in his capacity as party leader.
