BKKBN focusing on 2023 family data update in 13,263 villages

Without (valid) data, the stunting reduction program and extreme poverty eradication will not be successful Jakarta (ANTARA) – The National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) confirmed that it would dispatch personnel to focus on updating families’ data for 2023 (PK-23) in 13,263 villages across Indonesia.”Pay attention to the number of families, check the number of families with each BKKBN representative and the total targeted families in locus villages. Do not get the target wrong,” Head of BKKBN Hasto Wardoyo stated here on Saturday. The simultaneous updating across Indonesia will take place from July 1 to July 31, 2023, in order to make the data accurate, thereby allowing the government to take better measures to reduce the stunting rate and eradicate extreme poverty, he explained. The update prioritizes the validity of data, so that the government can gain greater understanding of the issues, Wardoyo elaborated. “Without (valid) data, the stunting reduction program and extreme poverty eradication will not be successful,” he explained. He said that villages where the updating will be conducted are those selected as samples and those with low count of families. “Indonesian Families Data Update by the BKKBN is carried out by completing fixing, updating, recording mutation, and collecting data of new families that have yet to be registered in BDKI (Indonesian Families Database) by going door to door and conducting interview or observing the head of the family, which is carried out simultaneously in a period which has been set,” he elaborated. cting Director for Reports and Statistics at BKKBN Lina Widyastuti stated that a pre-update activity is hosted for 10 days, on June 20-30, 2023, prior to the updating event. ccording to the agency’s Circular Number 2 of 2023 on Implementation of Family Data Update, the activity is conducted as an initiative and a test to ensure that the data collected is valid. The pre-update event has two phases, with the first one on June 20-25, 2023, in 32 districts and cities spread across 15 provinces, while the second phase is on June 25-30, 2023. In the first phase, data was collected of 25,311 families, out of which the data of 23,074 families, or 91.2 percent, was validated. “The pre-update activity result serves as material for the provinces’ evaluation, so when the updating starts on July 1, all provincial representatives already know what things become the issues and the solutions to them,” she pointed out.
