Bus fire “Suriya” urgently goes to the area to inspect the scene of the incident


‘Suriya’ led a team of transport executives to urgently visit the area after a bus fire occurred, where many teachers and students were injured and died. The father of the bus owner confirmed that he would take full responsibility.

The incident of a school bus on a field trip of students from Wat Khao Phraya School in Uthai Thani Province caught fire in front of Zeer Rangsit shopping mall on Vibhavadi Road in front of the memorial, causing injuries and deaths to many teachers and students on the bus. Initially, Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, along with Mr. Chaiyatham Promsorn, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, and Mr. Chirut Wisanjit, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport (DLT), went to the scene immediately to expedite the inspection. From the inspection, it was found that the bus that caught fire was under the care of Shinbut Engineering (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Songwit Chinbut, the father of the owner of Shinbut Tour, gave a
n interview saying that he was very shocked. In the 20 years of operating the business, such a terrible incident had never happened. Currently, he is rushing to the scene of the incident to take care of the situation himself. Mr. Songwit confirmed that the company will take full responsibility and will urgently provide assistance to the injured and the families of the deceased. He also confirmed that the bus was properly insured and had been continuously inspected according to the standards. However, the real cause of this incident must wait for the results of the detailed investigation by the authorities to find the real cause of the fire,” said Mr. Songwit.
