Cabinet Extends Permanent Secretary of Transport’s Term

Bangkok: The Cabinet has approved the extension of the term of the Permanent Secretary of Transport for another year, while Kitti Surakhamhaeng sits on the Human Rights Committee of the Committee on Prevention and Suppression of Torture.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anukul Prueksanusak, Deputy Government Spokesperson, announced the results of the Cabinet meeting. The meeting approved the Ministry of Justice’s proposal to appoint a person to the committee to prevent and suppress torture and disappearances, namely Mr. Kitti Surakhamhaeng as a human rights committee member.

In addition, the Cabinet meeting approved the extension of the term of office of civil servants holding high-level executive positions in the Ministry of Transport, Mr. Chaiyatham Phromsan, a civil servant holding the position of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, to hold the position for another year from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.
