Central Investigation Bureau Seizes Luxury Cars and Brand Items in Icon Group Case


BANGKOK: The Central Investigation Bureau has expanded its investigation into the Icon Group, seizing five additional luxury vehicles and numerous high-end branded items. The operation, which involved searches across 11 locations in Bangkok, Pathum Thani, and Nonthaburi, has brought the total number of seized cars in the case to 35.

According to Thai News Agency, the recent seizures include a range of Mercedes Benz models and a BMW 220i. A notable find in one of the cars, a white BMW 220i, included documents with messages of encouragement for the leaders of the group, hinting at a resilient internal morale. Additionally, police confiscated various luxury items such as bags, pillows, and art toys, alongside musical instruments, a safe, and computer equipment from the searches.

The seized evidence has been transported to the Pitak Santi Building for further examination and to expand the investigation. Authorities plan to continue scrutinizing the evidence at the Crime Suppression Division to uncover more deta
ils about the group’s activities.

Meanwhile, four female witnesses linked to the Icon Group were brought to the Consumer Protection Police Division for questioning. Despite media attempts to engage, these individuals remained silent and proceeded without comment. Observers noted that the women, who appeared to be office workers, displayed indifferent demeanors. The Central Investigation Bureau is currently questioning a total of 12 witnesses in connection with the case.
