Chanin Rungthanakiat Confident in Prime Minister’s Ability to Navigate Current Challenges

Bangkok: “Chanin” is confident that the clarity of the Prime Minister will help the country get through the situation. “Chanin” counters “Piyubot”, believes coup will not happen if no one incites, confident that the clarity and sincerity of “Paethongtarn” the Prime Minister will make the country get through the situation.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chanin Rungthanakiat, MP for the Pheu Thai Party, posted a message via the X application addressing Mr. Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, Secretary-General of the Progressive Movement. He stated that Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, should take responsibility for the leaked audio clip of a conversation between herself and Samdech Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate. The clip raised questions about whether Mr. Piyabutr was using a coup to threaten the civilian government. Amidst global economic issues and the conflict on the Thai-Cambodian border, Mr. Chanin emphasized that this civilian Prime Minister is striving to handle matters peacefully to safeguard the nation’s interests.

Mr. Chanin further remarked that political efforts are being made to adapt the government for increased flexibility and to advocate for policies that benefit the populace, despite potential threats to stability. He expressed his belief that a coup would not occur without civilian support for conflict, and he is confident in the professional and unified collaboration between the government and the military. He trusts that the clarity and sincerity of Prime Minister Paethongtarn will lead the country through these challenging times.
