The incident started at around 9pm when police from Sai Mai Police Station were inspecting Wat Ko Suwannaram Road in Sai Mai. They found a suspicious black Honda car with Bangkok license plates with the engine running, so they pulled it over to inspect it. However, the driver sped away on Phahonyothin Road towards Bang Khen Circle. The police tried to chase him, but the driver sped away and damaged thr
ee other cars.

The police had to shoot the tires to stop the car, but it continued driving through the Bang Khen Tunnel towards Kaset Intersection. Finally, the suspicious car was cornered on Ngam Wong Wan Road near Kasetsart University. The driver, Mr. Kanitsorn, 26, and another woman, approximately 20, who was also in the car, were taken to Bang Khen Police Station to record the arrest and press charges of reckless driving. They were then taken to Sai Mai Police Station for further questioning.

Initially, Mr. Kanitsorn stated that he was hired to collect debts for a loan shark gang in Nonthaburi Province. He was paid 300-400 baht per day and would receive an additional 50 baht for each person who collected money. The reason he drove away from the police was because he was shocked when the police suddenly asked to inspect him. He saw that the police were cracking down on loan shark gangs, so he thought that if he got caught, no one would take care of their 1-month-old child. He lost his mind and drove away
