Chiang Rai Province is rushing to remove more than 10,000 tons of garbage after the flood situation has improved. It is expected to be completed by 21 Oct. The Ministry of Interior will pay 10,000 baht per house to help clean the house.

After the flood in Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province, has subsided, it has left behind a lot of damage to houses and properties, especially garbage. Mr. Boonsong Tinari, Mueang Chiang Rai District Chief, stated that the huge amount of garbage from the recent flood, both inside and outside the municipality, is approximately 10,000 tons. The province has a plan to restore everything to normal, especially garbage, which must be completed by October 21. Currently, a place to manage the garbage and a place to bury it has been found.

The Ministry of Interior will pay 10,000 baht per household to help clean up mud and debris in the affected homes, which is separate from the 9,000 baht per household for flood victims in the rainy season of 2024.
