Bangkok: Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jianwei met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, expressing a deep sense of friendship and emphasizing that China and Thailand are one family as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. Ambassador Zhang highlighted this milestone as a golden year, ready to enhance cooperation in numerous areas.

According to Thai News Agency, Ambassador Zhang, who recently arrived in Thailand on July 29th, shared his experience of the friendship between the two nations, reiterating the sentiment that “China and Thailand are one family.” He expressed his honor in serving as the 14th Chinese Ambassador to Thailand during this significant year, feeling a profound duty to leverage this special opportunity.

Ambassador Zhang expressed pride in the five decades of diplomatic relations and envisions an even brighter future over the next 50 years. He stressed his commitment to maintaining close communication with all sectors in Thailand to promote cooperation across various fields.
