Move Forward Party, “Cho” complains that those in power are afraid to dissolve “Move Forward” because they see it as a threat. She believes that there will be no cobras joining other parties. She hinted that the Progressive Group will welcome the executive board whose rights have been revoked.
Ms. Pannika Wanich, executive board member of the Progressive Movement and former spokesperson of the Future Forward Party, gave an interview after the Constitutional Court ruled to dissolve the Move Forward Party and revoked the rights of the party’s executive board for 10 years, saying that what we saw from today’s ruling was something that shook everyone’s ability to remain in power. It was ruled that their threat would not remain, but that was the decision of the people in power in this country who thought they had the highest power in this country, but they did not realize that the people had the highest power. Even though the court ruled not to let the Move Forward Party continue, what we are waiting to hear is
the people’s decision, especially those who want change and have the same dreams as the Future Forward Party and the Move Forward Party. I would like everyone to speak out loudly as decision-makers about whether they want us to continue or not.
When asked if the disqualified members of the Move Forward Party would join the Progressive Movement, Ms. Pannika said that if the Move Forward Party executives decided they wanted to continue working in politics, the Progressive Movement would be another channel because it is an organization that continues the mission and intentions of the Future Forward Party. The Progressive Movement’s work is ongoing, and the work of the new political party of the Move Forward Party would be in line with the Progressive Movement.
When asked whether the closeness of the new political party to the Progressive Movement will have negative effects in the future, Ms. Pannika said that it is part of the efforts of those in power to make us afraid. But in the past, it has been proven tha
t we have moved beyond the anxiety of the dissolution of the Future Forward Party. Nothing can stop our need to work in politics.
When asked if she thought the other 10 MPs who were submitted to the NACC for ethics investigation would be banned from politics for life like she was, Ms. Pannika said that she believed that everyone who enters politics knows the price they have to pay. Changing this country is our future and our political life. If successful, it is worth paying such a high price. The MPs probably do not think about their own fate, but will use every minute to create the most benefit. As for the results of the ethics case, everyone does not just accept it with their heads down.
When asked if she had talked to the Move Forward Party about the future direction, Ms. Pannika said there was no need to talk. The work is still ongoing. Everyone knows what their duties are. No matter what happens, they will continue the mission. After this, the Move Forward Party must prepare to move to a new home.
Whe
n asked if she thought MPs would move to other parties that are not the new Move Forward Party, Ms. Pannika said that we always say that the party is bigger than the people, the people are bigger than the party. Therefore, the people or MPs in the party are not as important as the party itself. Therefore, if anyone decides not to continue with the party, they can leave. There will always be new people coming in. But she doesn’t think many Move Forward MPs will leave because she knows everyone very well. She believes that everyone stands by the same ideology. She hopes to see everyone move forward with unity.
