Bangkok: Chuan Leekpai, a Democrat Party list MP, has firmly stated that he has no intention of supporting the Bhumjaithai Party in forming a government, urging the public to disregard any circulating rumors about his involvement.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chuan refrained from providing detailed comments on the government formation process during a recent interaction with the press. He avoided discussing his views and mentioned an upcoming rally in Trang, which seemed to divert attention from the political questions posed by reporters.
When pressed about his stance on forming a government, Mr. Chuan stated that he was not actively following the developments and expressed a lack of interest in participating in any government formation. He emphasized that any reports suggesting otherwise were unfounded, asserting that he had not engaged in any negotiations nor intended to do so.
In response to inquiries about potential support for the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Chuan clarified that his views were purely personal, as he does not hold a position on the party's executive committee. He recommended that questions regarding the party's stance be directed to its executive committee, reiterating his lack of plans to collaborate with any party in forming a government.
