Bangkok: CIMB Thai Bank, in collaboration with the Malaysian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, has initiated the 'Sustainability360' consulting program during the third annual sustainability forum, 'The Cooler Earth Thailand 2025.' This program aims to drive sustainable growth across borders and enhance regional cooperation in support of Thailand's sustainability goals.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jason Lee, Head of Sustainability at CIMB Thai Bank, emphasized the increasing expectations businesses in Thailand face from investors, regulators, and stakeholders. He highlighted the necessity for sustainability actions to be concrete, credible, and transparent. The Sustainability360 consulting program will leverage expertise from finance, fundraising, climate change, and legal sectors to assist clients in managing complex sustainability financing and providing structured impact reporting that aligns with taxonomy standards and investor requirements.
Mr. Wut Thanittiraporn, President and Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Thai Bank, stated that the "Sustainability360" project aligns with CIMB Group's objective of mobilizing RM300 billion (approximately THB2.3 trillion) for sustainable finance by 2030. The initiative is designed to empower clients to integrate sustainability practices into their business strategies.
Mr. Wut further noted the importance of accelerating Thailand's transition to a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economy. With government policies increasingly focusing on climate and sustainability disclosures, and the growing demand for sustainable finance products from international investors in ASEAN, CIMB Thai's initiative is timely. By utilizing regional insights and an extensive network across ASEAN, CIMB Group is set to support Thai businesses in navigating these new challenges.
