Commander Teng Evaluates Border Defense in Surin Province

Surin: General Teng conducted an inspection of the combat readiness of border defense forces stationed in Surin Province. His visit underscored the necessity of rehearsing operational plans to ensure that troops are prepared to fulfill their duties with strength, endurance, and caution. During his visit, he also distributed morale-boosting items to personnel positioned at the frontline.

According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Gen. Wirayut Raksin, who commands the Second Army Region, along with his delegation, visited the Thai-Cambodian border in Surin Province on October 23, 2015. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the readiness of the units and personnel operations in the area. The visit included a comprehensive briefing on the situation and operational plans from the local task force. Gen. Teng conducted a personal inspection of the personnel stationed at the border, focusing on combat readiness aspects such as military operations plans, patrol and surveillance systems, intelligence, logistics, command and communications, as well as an examination of the terrain and its impact on unit operations.

The inspection also involved visits to personnel housing, observation of tactical route developments, and assessment of stronghold enhancements in the area. The Second Army Region Commander inquired about the well-being of personnel, which significantly bolstered the morale and confidence of the border workers.

In a speech to the troops, the Second Army Region Commander emphasized the importance of adhering to military ideals. He encouraged performing duties with courage, sacrifice, endurance, and discipline while maintaining combat readiness. To further support the troops, he distributed morale-boosting items to those serving on the front lines.
