Bangkok: The Royal Barge Procession drew large crowds to Santi Chai Prakan Park in Bangkok, where people dressed in yellow shirts reserved spaces early to witness the event and pay their respects to His Majesty the King.
According to Thai News Agency, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and related agencies had prepared the park to accommodate the public and media, facilitating a clear view of the procession. By early morning, the park was filled with spectators, many of whom arrived as early as 3:00 a.m. to secure their spots. Officials from the Special Branch Police, Metropolitan Police, Chana Songkhram Police Station, and municipal officers from the Phra Nakhon District Office, along with medical units from the Ministry of Public Health and numerous volunteers, were present to ensure safety and offer assistance.
As the park reached capacity, some latecomers who arrived around noon found themselves without a riverside spot. These individuals sought alternative locations with access to the Chao Phraya
River, including private areas near Santi Chai Prakan Park, to watch the procession.
