Bangkok: Pol. Maj. Gen. Sirawat Deepo, Commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Division 1, has revealed that the statement of ‘Ms. Golf’ indicates her involvement in online gambling activities. The investigation has uncovered that more than 385 million baht in her account was used for gambling purposes. Authorities are actively seeking further information from the Anti-Corruption Division to expand the investigation and trace the financial activities connected to her account. There is a possibility of pressing charges if any connections to gambling websites, including involvement of monks, are established.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Maj. Gen. Sirawat Deepo announced the ongoing investigation into ‘Ms. Golf’s financial dealings. The investigation, a collaboration with the Central Investigation Bureau, follows the recent press conference on her arrest. The Technology Crime Suppression Division 1 is working closely with Pol. Maj. Gen. Prasong Chalermphan, Commander of the Suppression of Corruption and Misconduct Division, to gather comprehensive information on ‘Ms. Golf’s financial transactions. Should evidence of links to online gambling or any involvement by monks be found, legal actions will be pursued.
Pol. Lt. Col. Sirawat further stated that the personal account of Ms. Golf, currently under scrutiny, differs from the account obtained by the Anti-Corruption Commission. Coordination efforts are underway to compare and verify the financial data from both accounts. Preliminary investigations have revealed transactions amounting to tens of thousands of baht associated with online gambling. Authorities are proceeding with the investigation to clarify these findings. A conclusion on the financial trail is anticipated by the end of the week.
