DDPM reports flood situation in 18 provinces


DDPM reports flooding in 18 provinces, urgently mobilizing all forces to provide relief to the people and quickly restore areas that have been resolved to return to normal.

28 Sep 67 at 10.45 a.m. DDPM reported that there was a flood situation in 18 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Nan, Lampang, Lamphun, Phrae, Tak, Phetchabun, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Loei, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Ubon Ratchathani, Prachin Buri, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, totaling 73 districts, 284 sub-districts, 1,408 villages, with 32,973 affected households. Officials and disaster relief machinery were dispatched to drain water from the area and provide assistance and relief to affected people, including expediting the restoration of areas where the situation has improved to return to normal continuously and at full capacity.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported that between August 16 and September 27, 2024, flooding occurred in 37 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong
Son, Tak, Phayao, Nan, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Phetchabun, Loei, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Ubon Ratchathani, Prachin Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, Rayong, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Phuket, Yala, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phang Nga, Trang, and Satun. A total of 213 districts, 926 sub-districts, 4,930 villages, 175,955 households were affected, with a total of 49 deaths and 28 injuries. Currently, flooding continues in 18 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Nan, Lampang. Lamphun, Phrae, Tak, Phetchabun, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Loei, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Ubon Ratchathani, Prachin Buri and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, total affected areas: 73 districts, 284 sub-districts, 1,408 villages, 32,973 affected households, details as follows:

Northern region, including 10 provinces, 43 districts, 142 sub-districts, 739 villages, 16,926 households affe
cted.

Chiang Rai: Flooding in 4 districts: Mueang, Wiang Pa Pao, Mae Suai, and Mae Lao, totaling 12 sub-districts, 108 villages, affecting 2,892 households. Water levels are decreasing.

Chiang Mai has flooding in 3 districts: Mueang, Mae Ai and Mae On, totaling 10 sub-districts, 25 villages, affecting 7 households. Water levels are rising.

Nan: Flooding in 3 districts: Na Noi, Na Muen, and Wiang Sa, 9 sub-districts, 10 villages, 96 households affected, water levels are decreasing.

Lampang: Flooding in 5 districts: Mae Phrik, Sop Prap, Thoen, Ko Kha, and Chae Hom, totaling 21 sub-districts, 129 villages, affecting 3,571 households. Water levels are rising.

Lamphun: Flooding occurs in 7 districts: Mueang, Pa Sang, Ban Thi, Thung Hua Chang, Mae Tha, Wiang Nong Long, and Ban Hong, totaling 29 sub-districts, 234 villages, affecting 4,113 households. Water levels are rising.

Phrae: Flooding occurred in 4 districts: Long, Wang Chin, Sung Men, and Mueang, totaling 11 sub-districts, 27 villages, affecting 819 ho
useholds. Water levels have decreased.

Tak Province: Flooding occurred in 2 districts: Sam Ngao District and Ban Tak District, totaling 5 sub-districts, 39 villages, affecting 1,445 households. Water levels are stable.

Phetchabun: Flooding occurred in 5 districts: Chon Daen, Sri Thep, Lom Kao, Nong Phai, and Lom Sak, totaling 7 sub-districts and 21 villages, affecting 738 households. Water levels are stable.

Phitsanulok: Flooding in 7 districts: Phrom Phiram, Bang Rakam, Mueang, Bang Krathum, Wang Thong, Nakhon Thai, and Wat Bot, totaling 26 sub-districts, 103 villages, affecting 1,694 households. Water levels are stable.

Sukhothai: Flooding occurred in 3 districts: Sawankhalok, Si Samrong and Mueang, totaling 12 sub-districts, 43 villages, affecting 1,551 households. Water levels are stable.

Northeastern region, including 6 provinces, 20 districts, 72 sub-districts, 361 villages, 8,491 households were affected.

1) Flooding occurred in Muang District, including 2 sub-districts and 4 villages, affecting
112 households. Water levels have decreased.

2) Nong Khai: Flooding occurred in 4 districts: Sri Chiang Mai, Tha Bo, Mueang, and Phon Phisai, totaling 26 sub-districts, 146 villages, affecting 7,717 households. Water levels have decreased.

3) Udon Thani: Flooding occurred in 2 districts: Mueang and Sang Khom, totaling 6 sub-districts, 23 villages, affecting 270 households. Water levels are stable.

4) Chaiyaphum: Flooding occurred in 4 districts: Khon Sawan, Ban Taen, Phu Khiao, and Chatturat, totaling 10 sub-districts, 42 villages, affecting 66 households. Water levels have decreased.

5) Maha Sarakham: Flooding occurred in 4 districts: Mueang District, Kantharawichai District, Kosum Phisai District, Chiang Yuen District, totaling 19 sub-districts, 123 villages, affecting 23 households. Water levels have decreased.

6) Ubon Ratchathani: Flooding occurred in 5 districts: Khemmarat, Pho Sai, Na Tal, Khong Chiam, and Mueang, totaling 9 sub-districts and 23 villages. 303 households were affected. Water levels
have decreased.

Eastern region, including 1 province, 4 districts, 6 sub-districts, 21 villages, 639 households affected.

1) Prachin Buri: Flooding occurred in 4 districts: Prachantakham, Kabin Buri, Sri Maha Phot, and Na Di, totaling 6 sub-districts and 21 villages, affecting 639 households. Water levels are stable.

Central region, including 1 province, 6 districts, 64 sub-districts, 287 villages, 6,917 households affected.

1) Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya: Flooding occurred in 6 districts: Bang Ban, Phak Hai, Sena, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Bang Pa-in, and Bang Sai, totaling 64 sub-districts, 287 villages, affecting 6,917 households. Water levels are stable.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has mobilized all operational personnel and disaster machinery, such as the KA-32 disaster prevention and mitigation helicopter, long-range water pumps, water pumps, disaster relief vehicles, rapid rescue vehicles, drinking water production vehicles, 200 KVA electric lighting vehicles, small tr
ucks, rapid boat towing vehicles, flat-bottomed boats, and water rescue equipment from the disaster prevention and mitigation centers in the area, nearby areas, and disaster prevention and mitigation centers in other regions without disaster situations to join the operation to provide assistance and relieve the suffering of people in disaster areas, including helping restore roads and houses in areas where the situation has improved so that people can return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
