DDPM reports flood situation in 20 provinces


The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported flooding in 20 provinces. They are urgently mobilizing all forces to provide assistance to alleviate the suffering of the people and restore the areas that have been resolved to return to normal as soon as possible.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported flooding in 20 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Tak, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Phetchabun, Sukhothai, Udon Thani, Kalasin, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Maha Sarakham, Ubon Ratchathani, Sing Buri, Suphan Buri, Ang Thong, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, covering 76 districts, 337 sub-districts, and 1,561 villages, with 34,373 households affected. Officials and disaster relief machinery have been dispatched to drain water from the area, provide assistance, and alleviate the suffering of affected people, as well as continuously and fully restore areas where the situation has improved to return to normal.

itigation (DDPM) reported that between August 16 and October 6, 2024, flooding occurred in 42 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Tak, Phayao, Nan, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Phetchabun, Loei, Udon Thani, Kalasin, Nong Khai, Nakhon Phanom, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Ubon Ratchathani, Prachin Buri, Sing Buri, Suphan Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, Rayong, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Phuket, Yala, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phang Nga, Trang, and Satun. A total of 260 districts, 1,109 sub-districts, 5,847 villages, 207,851 households were affected, with a total of 49 deaths and 28 injuries. Currently, there is still a flood situation in 20 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Tak, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Phetchabun, Sukhothai, Udon Thani, Kalasin, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Maha Sarakham, Ubon Ratchathani, Sing Buri, Suphan Buri, Ang Thong an
d Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. A total of 76 districts, 337 sub-districts, 1,561 villages, and 34,373 households are affected.

??Northern Region, including 9 provinces, 34 districts, 119 sub-districts, 544 villages, 8,625 affected households.

1) Chiang Rai, flooding occurred in 6 districts: Mae Sai, Mueang, Mae Lao, Wiang Pa Pao, Wiang Chai and Chiang Saen, a total of 17 sub-districts, 80 villages, 1,046 affected households, the water level has receded.

2) Chiang Mai, flooding occurred in 7 districts: Mae Rim, Doi Lor, Hang Dong, San Pa Tong, Mae Taeng, Mueang and Saraphi, a total of 34 sub-districts, 183 villages, 96 affected households, the water level has receded.

3) Lamphun, flooding occurred in 2 districts: Mueang and Pa Sang, a total of 6 sub-districts, 51 villages, 594 affected households, the water level has receded. 4

) Lampang, flooding occurred in 3 districts: Mae Phrik, Thoen and Mueang, a total of 5 sub-districts, 18 Village, 458 households were affected, water level has decreased.

oding occurred in 2 districts: Sam Ngao and Ban Tak, a total of 7 sub-districts, 47 villages, 2,547 households were affected, water level has decreased.

6) Phitsanulok, flooding occurred in 7 districts: Phrom Phiram, Bang Rakam, Mueang, Bang Krathum, Wang Thong, Nakhon Thai and Wat Bot, a total of 27 sub-districts, 104 villages, 1,749 households were affected, water level has increased.

7) Phetchabun, flooding occurred in 3 districts: Nam Nao, Mueang and Nong Phai, a total of 6 sub-districts, 8 villages, 115 households were affected, water level has decreased. 8) Sukhothai, flooding occurred in 3 districts: Sawankhalok, Si Samrong and Mueang, a total of 15 sub-districts, 51 villages, 1,940 households were affected, water level has decreased.

9) Nakhon Sawan, flooding occurred in Mueang district, a total of 2 sub-districts, 2 Village: 70 households affected, water level has decreased

Northeastern region, including 7 provinces, 23 districts, 83 sub-districts, 351 villages, 1,077 households were affected.

) Udon Thani: flooding occurred in 2 districts: Mueang and Sang Khom, including 8 sub-districts, 37 villages, 383 households were affected. The water level has decreased.

2) Kalasin: flooding occurred in 5 districts: Yang Talat, Nong Krung Si, Tha Khantho, Sahatsakhan, and Khon Chai, including 12 sub-districts, 15 villages, 68 households were affected. The water level has stabilized.

3) Chaiyaphum: flooding occurred in 2 districts: Khon Sawan and Chatturat, including 12 sub-districts, 45 villages, 71 households were affected. The water level has stabilized.

4) Maha Sarakham: flooding occurred in 5 districts: Mueang, Kantharawichai, Kosum Phisai, Chiang Yuen, and Na Chueak, including 33 sub-districts, 222 villages, 83 households were affected. The water level is stable.

5) Nakhon Ratchasima: Flooding occurred in 4 districts: Mueang, Chok Chai, Chakkarat and Kham Sakangsaeng. A total of 11 sub-districts, 19 villages, 261 households were affected. The water level is decreasing.

6) Buriram: Flooding occurred
in 3 districts: Nang Rong, Chamni and Nong Ki. A total of 4 sub-districts, 8 villages, 21 households were affected. The water level is decreasing. 7

) Ubon Ratchathani: Flooding occurred in Mueang and Sawang Wirawong districts. A total of 3 sub-districts, 5 villages, 190 households were affected. The water level is rising.

Central region: 4 provinces, 19 districts, 135 sub-districts, 666 villages, 24,671 affected households.

1) Sing Buri: flooding in 2 districts: In Buri and Mueang districts, 3 sub-districts, 5 villages, 66 affected households, water level stable.

2) Suphan Buri: flooding in 7 districts: Doembang Nangbuat, Bang Pla Ma, Song Phi Nong, Dan Chang, Nong Ya Sai, Si Prachan, and Sam Chuk districts, 26 sub-districts, 86 villages, 1,594 affected households, water level stable.

3) Ang Thong: flooding in 3 districts: Wiset Chai Chan, Chaiyo, and Mueang districts, 10 sub-districts, 32 villages, 463 affected households, water level rising.

4) Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Flooding occurred in 7 district
s: Bang Ban, Phak Hai, Sena, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Bang Pa-in, Bang Sai, and Bang Pa-han, totaling 96 sub-districts, 543 villages, affecting 22,548 households. Water levels are rising.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has mobilized all operational personnel and disaster machinery, such as the KA-32 disaster prevention and mitigation helicopter, long-range water pumps, water pumps, disaster relief vehicles, rapid rescue vehicles, drinking water production vehicles, 200 KVA electric lighting vehicles, small trucks, rapid boat towing vehicles, flat-bottomed boats, and water rescue equipment to provide assistance and relieve the suffering of people in disaster-stricken areas. They have also deployed high-lift hydraulic excavators, multi-purpose wheel loaders, wheelbase-adjustable rescue wheel loaders, crawler trucks, dump trucks, and long-arm hydraulic excavators to quickly remove soil, mud, debris, and debris, as well as level and rehabilitate roads and buildings in areas where th
e situation has improved so that people can return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
