Deputy Prime Minister Assures Transparency in 3,600 MW Renewable Energy Concession.


Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister Jang has addressed concerns regarding the 3,600 megawatts renewable energy purchase concession, emphasizing the transparency of the process. Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra reiterated in a recent interview that the Deputy Prime Minister had already responded to related questions in parliament, even before Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, Chairman of the Progressive Movement, issued an open letter requesting a review of the concession.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Shinawatra, who also serves as the Chairman of the National Energy Policy Committee (NEPC), clarified that the matter has not yet reached the NEPC. She mentioned that she has already consulted with the Deputy Prime Minister overseeing the issue. The Deputy Prime Minister had previously addressed the matter in parliament, affirming that all processes comply with the necessary procedures. The Prime Minister assured the public and the media that detailed information is readily available, and transpar
ency is a priority.

When questioned about the transparency of the entire process, Prime Minister Shinawatra confirmed that transparency is crucial. She emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that all procedures are clear and understandable to the public, as it is essential for maintaining governmental stability.
