Diverse lives in the Mae Sai border flood crisis


Floodwaters at the Mae Sai border have begun to recede, allowing hundreds of people who have been stranded in floodwaters for three days to brave the currents and escape. Some are crying with joy at being saved, but many communities are still inundated with fast-flowing waters, and officials are having to work hard to move the sick, the elderly and pets out of the flooded areas .
