Netizens condemned a white sedan that was driving in the right lane and did not make way for an ambulance. Officials revealed that the patient was a woman with terminal lung cancer who wanted to return to Satuek Hospital for treatment so that her children and grandchildren could conveniently visit and care for her for the last time.
The incident was captured by a dashcam while the Wang Krut Rescue Unit in Satuek District, Buriram Province, was transporting a patient for further treatment. However, a white sedan was driving in the right lane, ignoring the ambulance’s siren. In this case, the “Je Moi V+” page posted the clip on social media, where many people criticized the incident.
The reporter asked Mr. Narong, 30 years old, an emergency vehicle driver of Wang Krut Satuk Rescue, who said that he was assigned to pick up an 80-year-old female patient with terminal lung cancer at Buriram Hospital. The patient wanted to return to Satuk Hospital for treatment so that her children and grandchildren could conven
iently come to visit and see her for the last time.
After picking up the patient from the hospital, I drove to the traffic light intersection at Ban Yang on the Buriram-Satuk road. After leaving the intersection, there was a white sedan driving in the far right lane but refused to make way. I tried to find a left exit but was stuck with many other cars. The siren was blaring and I could hear it clearly, but the driver of the white car refused to make way. I would like to ask for sympathy from other road users.
