DSI arrests more suspects in online gambling case, “New Pakphum” network

Task Force 2, the Investigation, Tracking and Intelligence Center, Department of Special Investigation, joined forces with military officers to assist officers in arresting Mr. Nawapol, 22 years old, a suspect under the Criminal Court arrest warrant No. 2378/2566 dated 24 July 2566, who is accused of jointly organizing electronic gambling (online gambling) without permission and money laundering. The task force 2 investigated and arrested the suspect at the parking lot of the Thai Native Chicken Conservation and Development Club (Fighting Chicken) in Bang Bon District, Bangkok. They informed him of the charges and his rights under the Criminal Procedure Code, and informed him that images and audio must be continuously recorded during the arrest and detention until he is handed over to the Special Case Investigation Officer in accordance with the Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance Act B.E. 2565, so that the suspect is aware. The public prosecutor and the Director of the Investiga
tion and Legal Affairs Office, Department of Provincial Administration (in the Bangkok area) have also been notified. He was then taken into custody and handed over to the Special Case Investigation Officer, Narcotics Division. The Department of Special Investigation is responsible for taking legal action.

The case is a special case number 36/2566 of the Narcotics Division, in which Mr. Nawapol acted as an administrator, controlling a bank account with a turnover of over 500 million baht. The special case investigator will proceed to send him to the public prosecutor.
