DSI joins forces to investigate the case of encroachment on the Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement area.

DSI joins forces with local government officials from Plai Phraya District and Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement officials to inspect the area for an illegal invasion and occupation of over 700 rai of Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement land.

Pol. Lt. Col. Yuthana Phraedam, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, acting as Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, has assigned Pol. Lt. Col. Amorn Hongsrithong, Director of the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division, to order Mr. Phongthawach Uamsam-ang, Director of the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division 1, as the head of the special case investigation team 22/2567, in the case of a group of people invading and occupying the Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement area, Tambon Plai Phraya, Amphoe Plai Phraya, Krabi Province, along with the special case investigation team, to join forces with the administrative officers of Plai Phraya District and officers from the Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement to join
tly inspect the area where the invasion and occupation of palm trees were taking advantage of by planting palm trees in the Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement area, covering an area of ??approximately 796-1-0 rai.

The case was a result of the Department of Special Investigation receiving a complaint from Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement, Krabi Province, stating that a group of influential people and their associates had encroached and occupied the Ao Luek Cooperative Settlement, Tambon Plai Phraya, Amphoe Plai Phraya, Krabi Province, and requested the Department of Special Investigation to prosecute individuals involved in the aforementioned offenses. The Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation approved the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division to investigate under Section 21, Paragraph One (1) of the Special Case Investigation Act B.E. 2547 and its amendments as Special Case No. 22/2567, which will investigate and expand the investigation to individuals involved in the offenses un
der the Land Allocation for Living Act B.E. 2511 and the Land Code.

The case is an action taken under the policy of Pol. Lt. Col. Yutthana Phraedam, Acting Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, to expedite the prevention, suppression, and investigation of crimes against natural resources and the environment in order to reclaim and protect the country’s resources.
