DSI Raids Boss Lab in Search of Evidence Linked to The Icon Group’s Alleged Misconduct

Pathum thani: The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has intensified its probe into The Icon Group by raiding Boss Lab, a company implicated in backend operations for The Icon, seizing computer equipment and servers to gather crucial evidence.

According to Thai News Agency, the operation was led by Pol. Lt. Col. Wisanu Chimtrakul, Deputy Director-General of DSI, and Pol. Lt. Col. Woranan Srilam, Director of the Informal Financial Business Crime Division. The officials, armed with court warrants, targeted two locations believed to be central to the backend management of The Icon Group’s operations.

The first location, a web design and development firm in Tambon Prachathipat, Thanyaburi District, has been identified as a service provider for The Icon Group. The second site, Serverich Co., Ltd. situated in Soi Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok 34, also in Thanyaburi District, operates under Boss Lab. This location is reportedly managed by Mr. Jiravat, a programmer listed among the 18 suspects in the ongoing investig
ation.

During the raids, DSI officials gathered statements from several witnesses and learned that some items were clandestinely removed from the premises in an Alphard van the previous Sunday. However, the main server storing critical data was recovered at the scene. This server is believed to contain data pivotal to proving illicit activities, possibly including details of the group’s financial transactions and member network.

Forensic experts from the Institute of Forensic Medicine are set to examine the seized computer systems, hard disks, and servers to trace any modifications made between 2018 and 2020, which could shed light on the beneficiaries of the alleged scheme. The focus is particularly on determining if the operations constitute a pyramid scheme or involve money laundering.

In a related development, Pol. Lt. Col. Wisanu addressed inquiries from Mr. Ekkapop, also known as Eksai Mai Must Survive, who recently demanded transparency regarding the handling of the pyramid scheme case at DSI. Wisan
u reassured that the allegations made by Ekkapop were unfounded, emphasizing DSI’s openness to investigate any credible information provided by the public regarding misconduct affecting the organization.
