Energy Conservation Promotion Fund Extends Proposal Deadline to September 17, 2025

Bangkok: The Energy Conservation Promotion Fund has announced an extension for the deadline for submitting proposals for the 2025 fiscal year budget allocation. Originally set to expire on August 18, the new deadline is now September 17, 2025, at 4:30 PM. This extension aims to provide ample time for agencies and organizations to prepare their documentation thoroughly.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ratchat Siriphanich, Manager of the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund Administration Office (EGAT), emphasized that the extension seeks to prevent the omission of qualified agencies and promote a variety of energy conservation project proposals. The move is designed to align with the fund's disbursement objectives, addressing environmental issues related to energy conservation, and aiming for maximum fund allocation to enhance domestic renewable energy use and achieve widespread energy savings.

The extension allows agencies involved in energy conservation and renewable energy development to apply for financial support in line with the fund allocation strategy framework. The registration period for administrators to request funding has been extended to match the project proposal submission period. The total budget for energy conservation project allocation stands at 2,750 million baht. Key criteria require applicants to be government agencies, state enterprises, educational institutions, or non-profit private organizations, and comply with specific sections of the Energy Conservation Promotion Act.

Certain project types, such as replacing air conditioners or installing solar street lights, will not be considered. Proposals may be rejected if they do not meet specified criteria or if documentation is incomplete. Additionally, the fund does not support overlapping projects unless they are for further development, nor does it support projects already funded from other sources.

Agencies interested in applying can stay updated on the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund Administration Office's official Facebook page and can submit their proposals online at enconfund.go.th. For further inquiries, they may contact the office during business hours.
