The Cabinet has informed the Cabinet that the Prime Minister’s advisors, government spokespersons and deputy government spokespersons have not yet submitted their complete resumes. They are expected to be appointed next week. Meanwhile, the Cabinet has approved various cooperation frameworks in which the Prime Minister will visit Qatar and the Lao PDR.

Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, advisor to the Prime Minister, announced the results of the Cabinet meeting that the Cabinet Secretariat had informed the Cabinet meeting that the documents to verify the background of the positions of Advisor to the Prime Minister, Spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office, and Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office, 3 positions, had not yet been sent in full. It is expected that the Cabinet meeting next week will be able to present them to the meeting. Therefore, he will continue to perform his duties as Advisor to the Prime Minister and explain various matters to the media.

In addition, the Cabinet meeting also acknowled
ged the development framework for solving the flooding problem in Bang Ban and Bang Sai, which are considered water catchment areas, by extending the operational framework until 2026.

Meanwhile, there is an improvement of the right bank of the Yom Canal in Sukhothai Province, proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the Royal Irrigation Department as a water catchment area, with a budget of 3,557 million baht.

In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has proposed extending the time to solve the farmer debt problem under the Farmer Rehabilitation Plan project for another 5 years, from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2029.

Mr. Jirayu continued that the Cabinet meeting also approved various cooperation frameworks that the Prime Minister will travel to attend meetings in Doha, Qatar, departing tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. and returning to Thailand this Friday. Then, on 8-11 September 2024, the Prime Minister will travel to Vientiane, Lao PDR, to attend the ASEAN Summit. The two m
eetings will be held over four days because they are two consecutive meetings, the 44th and 45th. Therefore, the Cabinet meeting approved various cooperation frameworks for the joint development of the ASEAN Community.
