Bangkok: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has initiated the 'EXAT Smart Youth' scholarship project for fiscal year 2025, granting scholarships to students in communities and schools located around the expressway routes. Mrs. Kulkanlaya Thumsen, Deputy Governor of EXAT, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by EXAT executives, school officials, and staff members. According to Thai News Agency, Mrs. Kulkanlaya emphasized the importance of education for the youth, who will become an essential force for the nation. The 'EXAT Smart Youth' scholarship project aims to provide continuous scholarships until students complete their highest level of education, fostering good relationships with the public. EXAT has selected 41 schools affected by its operations, covering all eight expressway routes. The scholarships are divided into three types: Type A for students with good academic performance, Type B for those lacking financial resources, and Type C as an annual scholarship for students in nearby schools. The total scholarship fund for the 41 schools amounts to 892,500 baht. For Type A and B scholarships, 13 schools will receive 3,000 baht each, totaling 612,000 baht, distributed as 15 scholarships per school in 12 schools, and 24 scholarships in one school. Type C scholarships provide 1,000 baht each to 28 schools, totaling 280,000 baht. Mrs. Kulkanaya stated that EXAT is committed to the coexistence with schools, communities, and society, particularly in promoting educational opportunities for youth. The EXAT Smart Youth Scholarship Project highlights EXAT's dedication to giving back and strengthening communities around every expressway route, focusing on education, quality of life development, and social assistance. EXAT aims to continue expanding its social responsibility initiatives to create a sustainable future.
