Last night, the atmosphere of cheering for Nong B Chanchaem in Fa Rai District, Nong Khai Province was very lively. Nong B’s father, mother, and family, as well as many villagers, carried Thai national flags and traveled to Nong Kwai Kindergarten School to watch the live broadcast of the Olympic boxing match. Even though the match was over, Nong B was not able to get revenge on the boxer from Algeria, but she still won a bronze medal to bring back to her family and the Thai people who gave her encouragement.
Mr. Sunron Suwanpeng, Nong B’s father, opened up after the competition that his daughter did her best, fought without fear, and thanked all Thai people who cheered Nong B until she got a bronze medal to bring back to Thailand. If she
returns home, she will hug her to relieve her longing. As for the family’s welcome, they will perform a traditional Bai Sri ceremony. As for the welcome from Nong Khai Province, they are coordinating with the Fa Rai District Chief, who will discuss with the province further.
While this morning, Nong B’s father told the team before going out to do gardening that Nong B called her father and mother at 4:00 AM after the competition. He encouraged her to do her best. Thai people encourage her and Nong B asked to hug her parents via video call.
