Flooding in Phong Pheng, Ang Thong Province, has expanded after the Chao Phraya Dam increased water release, while the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives rushed to deliver relief bags to help the people.
Villagers in Phong Pheng Subdistrict, Pa Mok District, Ang Thong Province rushed to move their belongings out of their flooded homes and put them on rafts to temporarily live in after water from the Chao Phraya River overflowed the sandbar and flooded more than 80 cm. and showed signs of rising further, making it impossible to live in their homes. Similarly, villagers in Village No. 3, Phong Pheng Subdistrict, which has no dam to prevent flooding, have already overflowed the banks and flooded houses, spreading over a wide area. In some places, the water was more than 1 meter high, forcing villagers to use boats to get in and out of their homes. Mr. Phradon Prisananantakul, Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Mr. Raksak Thianchai, District Chief of Pa Mok, rushed to deliver
consumer goods to help more than 50 affected households.
