Forensic Science Department investigates fire on tour bus


Officials from the Department of Forensic Science inspect the remains of a sightseeing bus to find the cause of the fire and check whether the gas tank placement is up to standard.

Reporters reported on the examination of the bus fire case. It was reported that officers from the Forensic Science Center 1, the Police Forensic Science Office, along with the Bangkok Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, the head of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Unit, officers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation brought cutting and prying equipment, along with officers from the Department of Land Transport, the Automotive Engineering Office, the Pathum Thani Provincial Transport Office, lecturers from Kasetsart University, the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Natural Gas for Vehicles Market Division of PTT Public Company Limited, inspected the school bus that caught fire yesterday, which resulted in the deaths of many students, in order to further investigate the cause of the f
ire. They will inspect the bus to see if it has been modified, and check the location of the gas tank to see if it meets the standards. They will then report the progress to Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police and Acting Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, and relevant parties.
