GH Bank Delivers Aid to Soldiers on Thai-Cambodian Border

Nakhon ratchasima: The Government Housing Bank (GHB) has taken a significant step in supporting soldiers stationed on the Thai-Cambodian border by delivering essential consumer goods and items to the 2nd Army Area Command at Camp Suranaree, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This initiative aims to assist those tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the nation during a period of unrest.

According to Thai News Agency, GHB, led by Dr. Drut Khamwichitthanapa, Chairman of the Executive Board and a member of the Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility (CG and CSR) Committee, responded to the impact of unrest along the border. As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), the bank distributed over 5,000 sets of essential goods, including drinking water, underwear, socks, and towels, to soldiers in high-risk areas. Managing Director Mr. Kamolpop Virapala, along with other bank executives and staff, presented these items to Maj. Gen. Norathip Poynok, Deputy Commander of the 2nd Army Area.

Beyond providing goods to soldiers, GH Bank has introduced urgent relief measures for customers affected by the border conflicts. For those who have suffered severe injuries or home damage, the bank has reduced interest rates to 0.01% per annum for five years. Customers with homes completely destroyed or those who have become permanently disabled or deceased will benefit from an ongoing 0.01% interest rate for the duration of their contracts.
