GHB Pioneers Online Auction for Over 1,000 Discounted Homes


Bangkok: The Government Housing Bank (GHB) has announced an online auction featuring more than 1,000 second-hand properties with discounts of up to 35% and an additional 15% for quick transactions. The auction is set to take place on October 25, 2024, through the GHB ALL HOME application.

According to Thai News Agency, this initiative, named “Secondhand Home Online Auction: GHB’s NPA Online Auction 2024,” aims to help more Thais own homes. The properties, including single houses, duplexes, townhouses, condominiums, commercial buildings, and vacant land, are available nationwide. The auction will run from 12:00 to 12:30, offering properties at competitive prices, with an extra discount for those who complete transactions by December 24, 2024.

Mr. Wittaya Saenphakdee, Deputy Managing Director of the Debt Restructuring Group and Acting Assistant Managing Director of the Enforcement Department at GHB, highlighted the bank’s mission to increase homeownership in Thailand. In Bangkok and its vicinity alone, 411 pr
operties are up for auction, including a notable 3-storey commercial building in Bang Khen District with a starting bid of 3,770,000 baht.

Regionally, 851 properties are being auctioned, with the lowest starting bid at 225,000 baht for a condominium in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Noteworthy listings include a condominium in Chonburi Province, priced at 1,310,000 baht, located on Sukhumvit Road and surrounded by amenities such as markets, hospitals, and shopping centers.

Interested parties can view properties in person or through images available on the GHB ALL HOME application or the website www.ghbhomecenter.com. Registration is required via the application, where users can also pay deposits and participate in the auction. Successful bidders who finalize purchase contracts by November 5, 2024, can avail themselves of a loan product for purchasing NPA properties ready for sale by the bank.
