Ratchaburi: The 8-a-side Youth Football Tournament, Thailand Championship ‘GLO Cup 2025’, Central and Western Region Qualifying Round officially concluded today at Ratchaburi Provincial Central Stadium amidst excitement and cheers throughout the day. Today marked the decisive day for teams vying to represent the Central and Western regions in the Under 13 and Under 15 age groups, securing their spots in the Thailand finals.
According to Thai News Agency, the competition in the U13 category saw intense matches, culminating in the selection of four teams to move forward to the national level. The final results for the U13 teams were as follows: Manisuk Academy defeated Nongkhao Kowit Pittayakhom School with a score of 2-1, Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School 1 (Ban Kao Witthaya) overcame Khlong Khon Academy 4-2, Drunarajaburi School edged out Suphan Buri Provincial Sports School with a 1-0 win, and Thesaban 1 School (Wat Sattanat Pariwat) triumphed over Hin Witthayakhom School with a dec
isive 4-0 victory.
The U15 category also delivered thrilling encounters, notably featuring two matches decided by penalty shootouts. Nong Khao Kowit Pittayakhom School advanced after a 3-2 penalty win against Ratchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School, while Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School 1 secured a 2-1 victory over Phra Thaen Dong Rang Witthayakarn School. ASSUMPTION ACADEMY claimed a spot following a 3-1 penalty win against Nong Ya Sai Witthaya School, and Khlong Khon Academy achieved a significant 4-0 win over Ratchaburi Municipality Demonstration School.
Highlighting individual talent, the GLO Cup 2025 also recognized outstanding players with the GLO Star Award. Selected by the Thai Football Development Foundation Committee, these players will have the opportunity for a 6-month training stint in Japan with the renowned J-League team, Avispa Fukuoka.
