Growing vegetables without soil, answering the needs of health-conscious people, selling out every time

A young man who graduated in agriculture has turned to growing organic vegetables to meet the needs of health-conscious people. He grows only three types of vegetables and takes 45-50 days to harvest and sell for 130 baht per kilogram. He can barely keep up with the demand, so he has to clear more space to grow more vegetables.

At Big Green Organic Farm, Sikao District, Trang Province, the organic vegetable farm belongs to Mr. Sutthiwet Nuthong, 49 years old, who graduated in agriculture and has always loved this profession. He started by accepting orders to arrange flower gardens and ornamental plants in various places. However, recently, he saw that local people were more interested in their health, so chemical-free vegetables and fruits sold like hotcakes. So he came up with the idea of ??using the empty land in front of his house to grow organic vegetables, which are in demand in the market. He grows 3 types: green oak, mini cos, and red coral. It takes about 45-50 days to grow and can be harvested and
sold at least 20 kilograms per round at a price of 130 baht per kilogram. Wholesale price is 100 baht per kilogram. Plus, the plants are big, juicy, and healthy. Regular customers are salad roll shops and health food shops in Trang Province, which require advance booking. Some days, there are passerby customers who come to buy at the farm, so there is almost not enough to sell, generating income of almost 10,000 baht per month. He is also planning to expand the greenhouse to meet customer demand.

The best-selling salad vegetable is Red Coral. It tastes sweeter and crisper than Green Oak. The curly, fluffy leaves resemble coral. It’s also called Red Lettuce. It’s beautiful when used as a plate decoration. Green Oak and Mini Cos have beautiful bushes, are sweet and crisp, but less sweet than Red Coral. Importantly, all three types of vegetables are 100% chemical-free, giving customers confidence. No matter how many there are, they sell out.
