Hau giang: Over 10 billion VND (395,600 USD) was donated to a programme on replacing temporary and dilapidated houses in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang at the provincial People’s Council’s 22nd session on October 31. As of mid-June, the province had over 6,600 poor households, or 3.29% of the total population. It is striving to further reduce the poverty rate by 2% by the end of this year.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the initiative aims to improve living conditions for residents in Hau Giang by providing stable housing solutions. The significant donation underscores the community’s commitment to addressing poverty and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
