Heavy rain in some areas of the North, Upper Northeast and South

The Meteorological Department reported that some areas in the North, Upper Northeast and South will experience heavy rain. Beware of flash floods and forest runoff. As for Bangkok and its vicinity, there will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area.

The Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 24 hours. The monsoon trough passes through the upper part of the North and upper Laos, entering the low-pressure cell in the upper part of Vietnam. In addition, there is a transitional wind line of the southeast and southwest winds at the upper level covering the North and the Northeast. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon continues to cover the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. This condition will cause heavy rain in some areas of the North, upper Northeast and the South. People in these areas should be careful of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially in areas on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. In the upper Andaman
Sea, the sea will have waves 1-2 meters high. In areas with thunderstorms, the waves will be higher than 2 meters. Sailors should avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
