Hung Yen province prepares to harvest longan


The Red River Delta province of Hung Yen, which is known as the capital of longan in the country, is preparing to enter the harvest season of this type of sweet fruit. The province currently has over 5,000 hectares for longan growing, with about 4,800 hectares of which are ready for harvest. Hung Yen’s longan is loved for its thick pulp and sweet taste. Local gardeners are hurrying up final preparations for the harvest season, lasting for about 3 months from July to the end of October.
