In addition, there was no one to take care of her young children and her elderly mother suffered from depression, so she had to quit her job to make desserts.

Phi Suay also said that her family has been selling local Thai desserts since her great-grandfather’s generation, passed down to her mother’s generation. When she first quit her job, she made baked goods to sell, but the cost of raw materials increased and she couldn’t handle it, so she turned to making Thai desserts. At first, she made them to give away at events. People liked the taste, which became an opportunity. Customers kept telling each other. Nowadays, she can barely keep up.
