Jakarta: Indonesia’s First Lady Iriana Urges for an End to Violence in Palestine

In Jakarta, First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, along with members of the Solidarity Act Organization of the Onward Indonesia Cabinet (OASE KIM), made a poignant call for the cessation of violence in Palestine. In a video message uploaded on the YouTube channel of the Presidential Secretariat, Iriana expressed her deep concern and empathy for the people suffering in Gaza, especially the innocent civilians who are bearing the brunt of the ongoing conflict.

According to Antara News Agency, the situation in Gaza is dire, with many lives lost, including those of children and women. She highlighted the increasing hardships faced by Gazans due to limited access to clean water, electricity, and food. “As a woman, as a mother, I am very devastated to see this situation,” she stated, empathizing with the suffering of innocent children caught in the conflict.

Emphasizing the need for peace and harmony, Iriana urged all parties to avoid division and conflict. She expressed her sorrow over the current conditions in Palestine and extended prayers for the victims of the violence.
