On July 29, 2024, there was a royal cremation ceremony for Pol. Lt. Col. Kittichan Chanyarom, deputy chief of the investigation division at Tha Kham Police Station, aged 59, who died while on duty from intervening in a maniacal incident in the Phra Ram 2 area.

At Wat Yang Sutharam, Ban Chang Lo Subdistrict, Bang Khun Non District, Bangkok, there was a royal cremation ceremony for Pol. Lt. Col. Kittichan Chanyarom, deputy chief of the investigation division of Tha Kham Police Station, aged 59, who died while on duty while trying to stop a maniac in the Phra Ram 2 area. The atmosphere was filled with sadness, with Pol. Lt. Col. Kittichan’s family, including Pol. Lt. Col. Jirawan Thanyacharoen, his sister; Pol. Lt. Col. Channakan Chanyarom, deputy chief of the manpower division of the Manpower Office; Pol.
Lt. Wanrat Chanyarom, deputy chief of investigation at Samrong Tai Police Station, Samut Prakan Province; his wife and son; relatives, as well as commanding officers and friends, attending the ceremony in large numbers. Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, deputy commissioner-general of the Royal Thai Police, traveled to preside over the royal cremation ceremony.

On this occasion, His Majesty the King graciously bestowed a carved golden casket for the cremation ceremony of Pol. Lt. Col. Kittichan Chanyarom, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, Tha Kham Police Station, with Pol. Lt. Wanrat Chanyarom, Deputy Inspector (Investigation), Samrong Tai Police Station, Samut Prakan Province, his son, reading the book of gratitude, which conveyed his deepest gratitude to the family of Pol. Lt. Col. Kittichan Chanyarom, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, Tha Kham Police Station.

For Pol. Lt. Col. Kittichan or Deputy Rang, born on April 16, 1965, currently 59 years old, first recruited in 1994 as a deputy inspector. In
2008, promoted to inspector in 2015, appointed as deputy superintendent. In 2017, held the position of deputy superintendent of investigation, Khok Pho Police Station, Pattani Province, before being transferred to be deputy superintendent of prevention and suppression, Raman Police Station, Yala Province. In 2020, transferred to be deputy superintendent of prevention and suppression, Wang Noi Police Station, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. In 2022, transferred to be deputy superintendent of prevention and suppression, Bang Mot Police Station, Bangkok. And in 2023 until present, being deputy superintendent of prevention and suppression, Tha Kham Police Station.

The Royal Thai Police have provided initial benefits to Pol. Lt. Col. Kittichan’s family in the amount of 4,577,210 baht, along with a special reward for his good deeds, by requesting a 6-step salary increase and a royal request to be promoted to the rank of “Pol. Gen.” 419.
