Khmer Content Creation Leads to Flag Removal at Ban Nong Chan

Ban nong chan: The Eastern Task Force clarified the circumstances surrounding a recent incident involving the placement of a Cambodian flag at Ban Nong Chan. The act, deemed as content creation by Cambodians, has been ordered to be removed.

According to Thai News Agency, the 1st Army Area Command’s Operations Center, via the Burapha Task Force, addressed images that surfaced online on August 26, 2015. The images depicted Cambodian citizens erecting the Cambodian national flag on a flagpole situated in front of the barbed wire line at Ban Nong Chan. As of August 27, 2015, investigations revealed that the flag has been taken down by the Cambodian citizens, and the Cambodian military has ceased any further action.
