Bangkok: His Majesty the King has appointed Sirote Phaetphan as the new Secretary-General of the House of Representatives. This appointment follows the retirement of Pol. Lt. Col. Aphat Sukhanan, who previously held the position.

According to Thai News Agency, the announcement was made by the House of Representatives on August 14, 2025. His Majesty the King has graciously appointed Sirote Phaetphan to this significant role, transitioning him from his previous position as Deputy Secretary-General of the House of Representatives. The new appointment will take effect on October 1, 2025.

Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, Speaker of the House of Representatives, received the Royal Command regarding this appointment. The move marks a strategic change within the parliamentary framework as Mr. Phaetphan assumes his new responsibilities.
