Krawee’s Confidence in Constitutional Amendment Completion by December

Bangkok: “Krawee” expressed confidence that the third reading of the constitutional amendment will be completed in time for December. He confirmed readiness to open a special session in early December following the committee’s consideration.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Krawee Prisananantakul, a member of the Ang Thong MP for the Bhumjaithai Party and part of the House Committee on the Draft Constitutional Amendment, addressed concerns about the committee’s progress. He noted that while the committee is still evaluating the qualifications and prohibitions for members of the Constitutional Drafting Committee, as well as the working methods of the Drafting Committee and the Public Hearing Committee, the essential content has already been reviewed. Mr. Krawee believes this will expedite the review process.

Reporters inquired about the anticipated timing for convening the extraordinary session of Parliament. Mr. Krawee indicated that it would likely occur in early December, contingent on the completion of the committee’s deliberations. He affirmed that the overall timeline aims for completion by December, with the third reading vote expected to happen within this timeframe.
