Bangkok: “View” Kunlavut Vitidsarn, the world’s number 1 badminton player, is preparing to compete in two major tournaments this month, the Japan Open and China Open.
According to Thai News Agency, after completing the World Tour Super 1000 Indonesia Open in early June, Kunlavut took a break to recuperate from a series of demanding matches. He is now ready to return to the competitive arena at the World Tour Super 750 Japan Open, scheduled from July 15-20, followed by the World Tour Super 1000 China Open, taking place from July 22-27.
Kunlavut has shared that his physical condition has improved significantly, and he is focusing on enhancing his game, particularly his speed and offensive strategies. His primary goal for this year remains to defend his world championship title in August. Kunlavut acknowledges the additional pressure of maintaining his number 1 world ranking and emphasizes the importance of continuous learning, as there are many skilled athletes to compete against.
