Bangkok: The LED screen in front of the Royal Thai Army Club on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road displayed messages of encouragement for the 2nd Army Area Commander. A picture of the commander, Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, was shown along with a supportive message, amidst ongoing discussions regarding a controversial audio clip.
According to Thai News Agency, the audio clip contains a conversation between Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, and Samdech Hun Sen, President of the Senate and former Prime Minister of Cambodia. In the clip, Ms. Shinawatra references Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, expressing concerns about listening to opposing sides, including commanders from the 2nd Army Region.
Further reports indicate that the LED screen attached to the building of the Army Research and Development Office displayed a message stating, ‘I would like to give my support to the Commander of the 2nd Army Region.’ This display of support comes as discussions continue around the content of the audio clip and its implications.
