Malaysian PM congratulates PM Paethongtarn


Malaysian Prime Minister congratulates “Prime Minister Paethongtarn” on taking office, confirms close work, continues “Settha’s” policies, expands trade, investment, and invites her to visit Malaysia.

Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, posted a message via her user account @ingshin on the X application, stating that ‘Today, I received a phone call congratulating me on the occasion of assuming the position of Prime Minister from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia.

He thanked Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the Malaysian government for the good friendship and was pleased that both countries are neighbors with close relations. He also confirmed his intention to work closely with Prime Minister Anwar to continue the dynamics and policies initiated by Prime Minister Anwar and Mr. Settha Thavisin, former Prime Minister, and to promote cooperation in various areas, especially in expanding trade and investment, as Malaysia is Thailand’s number 1 trading partner in ASEAN, and tourism.
