Masses Gather at Ban Nong Chan to Show Support for Thai Sovereignty

Ban nong chan: Crowds continue to gather in Ban Nong Jan, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, demonstrating their strength to protect Thailand’s land. Meanwhile, students from Ban Nong Jan School brought messages of encouragement to soldiers and police officers along the border.

According to Thai News Agency, groups of people from various areas have been steadily converging in Ban Nong Chan, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, a disputed area on the Thai-Cambodian border. Some groups have been arriving since early morning, holding Thai flags and tying bows as a patriotic symbol to affirm their protection of Thai soil.

Local residents also brought food and drinks to distribute to those who came to the rally. Meanwhile, vendors lined up along both sides of the road, creating a lively atmosphere from early morning amid the sweltering heat.

Today, it is expected that there will be a larger crowd than yesterday. Among them is “Nong P,” a student at Ban Nong Chan School, who, along with his mother, will deliver messages of encouragement written by fellow students to military and Border Patrol Police officers along the border, expressing their concern and support for the officers’ strong performance.

Meanwhile, some foreigners in the area have reportedly expressed their opinions on Cambodia’s behavior, asserting that Cambodia was the first to open fire on Thailand and offering support to Thai soldiers maintaining order on the front lines.
