Meteorological Department warns of heavy rain in the North, Upper Northeast, East, and Lower South

The Meteorological Department warns that the North, upper Northeast, East and lower South will experience heavy rain in some areas, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff.

The Meteorological Department revealed that the monsoon trough is passing through the upper part of the North and upper Laos, entering the low-pressure cell in the upper part of Vietnam, along with the intersecting southeasterly and southwesterly winds at the upper level covering the North and Northeastern regions, while the southwest monsoon is still covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. This condition will cause some areas of the North, upper Northeast, East and lower South to experience heavy rain. People in the aforementioned areas should be careful of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands.

For the upper Andaman Sea, the sea has waves 1-2 meters high. In areas with thunderstorms, the waves are h
igher than 2 meters. Sailors are advised to avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
