Meteorology reveals more rain across Thailand, warns eastern region to brace for heavy rain

Bangkok, The Meteorological Department revealed that there will be more rain throughout Thailand. It warned the eastern region to prepare for heavy rain in some areas, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff.

The Meteorological Department revealed that the monsoon trough is passing through the upper North and upper Laos, entering the low-pressure cell in the upper part of Vietnam, along with the moderate southwest monsoon still covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. This will cause more rain in Thailand and some areas will experience heavy rain, with some areas in the Eastern region experiencing very heavy rain. People in the aforementioned areas should be careful of the dangers of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. They should also be extra careful when traveling through areas with thunderstorms.

For the upper Gulf of Thailand, the sea has waves approximately 2 mete
rs high. For the Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf of Thailand, the waves are 1-2 meters high. In areas with thunderstorms, the waves are higher than 2 meters. Sailors in the aforementioned areas are advised to sail with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
