‘Minister Jiraporn’ Presents ‘Bangkok Pride Awards 2025’

Bangkok: The Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office presented the Bangkok Pride Awards 2025 to promote gender equality to individuals, organizations, actors, actresses, and politicians, totaling 11 categories and 25 awards.

According to Thai News Agency, at 5:30 p.m., Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, presided over the opening ceremony of the Bangkok Pride Awards 2025 voting results at Government House. The event was a stage for presenting awards to individuals who played an important role in creating tangible changes in the rights of sexual diversity and equality in Thailand, with a total of 11 categories and 25 awards. There were many individuals, organizations, politicians, and actors who promoted gender equality and were voted by the public via online channels who received their awards.

Ms. Jiraporn said that organizing the event at Government House this time has special meaning because this place is considered the center of political history, the country’s policy-making, including gender equality policies, which have been tangibly promoted through the marriage equality law last year. The award is not only to honor individuals or organizations that work to create change in society, but also to emphasize the value of people who fight for their rights, symbolizing dreams that dare to step forward even on unpaved paths.

This year’s awards have attracted global attention, with tens of millions of votes cast, which Ms. Jiraporn sees as not just a reflection of popularity, but also a sign that the ‘eyes of the world’ are on Thailand as a country with the potential to lead in human rights, equality, and justice, both regionally and globally.
