Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) held an event in London, the United Kingdom, to scout and attract Indonesian young talented diaspora, who are currently working or studying abroad, to work in Indonesia.Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir reiterated that in order to transform its SOEs, Indonesia needs to have its best young talents willing to become development agents by working in SOEs, with the end goal of boosting the country’s economy. “I have seen many Indonesian students making achievements abroad. They have enormous potential, so I hope they will return and contribute to Indonesia,” he noted in a statement received here on Monday. Minister Thohir expressed belief that the Indonesian students possess a global outlook and set of skills that can help SOEs expedite their transformation. Meanwhile, the ministry’s deputy for human resource, technology, and information, Tedi Bharata, stated that Indonesian SOEs are currently working on various strategic projects in various sectors. Hence, SOEs are in need of quality young talents, he remarked. “We need quality young talents to join us in advancing Indonesia,” he affirmed.
